- Travel: Intermittent travel to client sites within the Willamette Valley area is required

Position Overview: The Senior Energy Engineer is responsible for working with commercial and industrial customers to identify projects to reduce energy usage, quantifying energy savings and helping determine eligible incentives for customers. This includes a lot of problem solving, collaboration and interaction with customers.
A typical day may include:
- Conducting energy efficiency studies in the industrial sector
- Analyzing retrocommissioning/building optimization opportunities
- Working with commercial and industrial customers to scope and develop energy efficiency projects
- Working with mechanical contractors to scope commercial HVAC related energy efficiency projects and communicating utility incentive program requirements
- Performing energy engineering / energy analysis
- Conducting on-site Measurement & Verification including electrical metering
- Supporting Strategic Energy Management (SEM) at commercial and industrial sites
- Writing technical reports for non-technical audiences
- Working in a dynamic, challenging, and collaborative environment
Qualifications:
We’re looking for a person with a wide range of skills with the ability to perform both deep technical analysis as well as the ability to see the big picture on any project.
Ideal candidates will have some of the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or related technical field) required
- 4 or more years’ experience in the energy efficiency field
- Experience analyzing energy systems and quantifying annual energy savings
- Excellent Excel skills
- A high energy, self-starter with excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Industrial or commercial energy efficiency experience
- Working knowledge of commercial and industrial mechanical systems and building science
- Ability to break down complex data sets to conduct root analysis and present meaningful observations applying data visualization tools
- Capability to work autonomously with good project & time management skills
- Excellent writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills
- Advanced technical degree or great experience preferred
- P.E., EIT, CEM, and/or CMVP preferred

- Professionally communicating with our Client, Customers, Account Managers, and Engineering team via phone, email, and in-person.
- Regularly using Excel-based tools to analyze data and seek workflow efficiencies.
- Supporting Engineers and energy efficiency program staff to help us save energy and improve workflow.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: We are looking for a professional and organized candidate with a wide range of skills including excellent communication, emotional intelligence, attention to detail, and an interest in learning more about the energy field.
Ideal candidates will additionally have the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience, proficiency, and interest in data analysis in Excel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Adobe; Excel or similar platforms.
- High School Degree required, some secondary education in Engineering or similar preferred.
